Do you have children and are afraid to explore too far away from home for any of the following reasons:
- Your toddler is going to have a “flail-on-the-floor, limp-noodle” melt-down in an enclosed metal tube (also known as an airplane) where there is no escape!
- It’s too expensive to travel with kids!
- You (the grown ups) aren’t going to have any fun if you have children with you.
When I tell people that we travel with two kids under the age of 3, they think we are insane!!
Having so many people give me that jaw-dropping stare made me want to assure other parents out there that not only can travel with kids be possible – it can be enjoyable!! My hope is to inspire families to travel together by sharing our experiences of what worked for us…and what didn’t.
Travel is in my blood. I HAVE to travel. Luckily, my husband, Adam, loves to travel too! We have two children. Our son, Liam, is 3 and our daughter, Addison, is 1.
At this point, our children might be too young to truly appreciate the cultures that we see, however they are never too young to participate in cultural activities. From basic language learning skills, to visiting world heritage sites, to playing with local youngsters in the parks, our children will be able to expand their knowledge and make friends for life.
